The texts are compared with their Pāli, Sanskrit and other Chinese versions, translated and annotated. Studies in Āgama Literature also discusses the school attribution of the Bieyi za ahan jing, the history of the text and its stemmatic relationship with other Samyuktāgama collections. An appendix contains an improved comparative catalog of the 364 Bieyi za ahan sutras and the results of first attempts at computational comparative textual analysis. |
