Religious organizations in Taiwan are full of caring and humanistic environment and volunteers’ energy. Based on altruistic purposes, how to effectively integrate resources from all parties, yield values and establish a long-lasting cultural achievement are important topics in the pursuit of sustainable management. One of the ways is to create multiple cross-fields by integrating self-growth courses with the organization and assisting all volunteers or learners to cultivate different perspectives of mutual benefits in their life. At the same time, it can also implement the organization's vision and live up with the expectations of the society. However, whether this type of self-growth courses can produce concrete results or have a social influence is less discussed in the past research. This research is an attempt to use theoretical thinking from social value and social influence, with a rigorous and credible social return on investment (SROI) evaluation tool module, and a self-growth course of a religious organization as a case study, through theoretical learning which combines with practical operations, using in-depth interviews and questionnaires etc., to explore the changes in the results of the stakeholders before and after participating in the courses, and to further analyze the effectiveness and influence of the courses promoted. The results of the sensitivity analysis range from 2.65 to 3.70. The value of the outcome generated by each stakeholder, "increased perceived capacity for future happiness", was highest for those who participated in the GPS project, followed by volunteers, in line with the organiser’s core philosophy and program objectives. |
