巴利語《天宮事．椅子品》譯注與研究

Abstract

本文主要譯注巴利語《天宮事》和《天宮事注》的〈椅子品〉。全文可分為兩部分，第一部分說明《天宮事》的成立年代，而《天宮事》共有七品，全部均為偈頌，主要故事內容則在《天宮事注》之中。第二部分則是《天宮事．椅子品》故事探討，〈椅子品〉全文共有十七個故事，內容為布施功德和聞法利益兩大類。再者，故事中天宮（vimāna）一詞，可為建築物、交通工具、飛行於天空中的建築物，並且在漢譯經典和印度古詩中都可以看到 vimāna 的存在。

This article mainly annotates the Pīṭhavagga of Pāli Vimānavatthu and Vimānavatthu-aṭṭhakathā. The full text can be divided into two parts: The first part explains the the date of the establishment of Vimānavatthu, and Vimānavatthu has seven vagga, all of which are verses, and the main story content is in Vimānavatthu-aṭṭhakathā. The second part is about the story of Pīṭhavagga. There are seventeen stories in the full text of Pīṭhavagga, which are divided into two categories: the merits of giving and the benefits of hearing the dhamma. Furthermore, the word vimāna in the story means buildings, vehicles, and buildings flying in the sky, and the existence of vimāna can be seen in Chinese translations of classics and ancient Indian poems
